As concerns Bly's work, I guess I'd say I'm "warm-hot" rather than "hot-cold". I just looked over my collection and find I have twenty-seven books by Bly . . . yet even so I had never heard of the one you reviewed in the posting. I have ordered a copy - thanks again!

JefferyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5849270578857708223.post-55668581487443271702009-02-28T06:19:00.000-05:002009-02-28T06:19:00.000-05:00Grant:Indeed; here's his (and C. It's a sort of conjuring, formally, making folks see that that little bit of magic can be done both ways.

DonIssa's Untidy Huthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352841590717991698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5849270578857708223.post-76436648777793072882009-02-27T12:18:00.000-05:002009-02-27T12:18:00.000-05:00I've see the war fought in poetry about the role o...I've see the war fought in poetry about the role of form in expression. The building of poems almost seems contrary to the spirit of poetry to me. But at the same time, it also makes perfect sense in that more powerful meanings can be constructed than usually occur when one "opens a vein."Charles Gramlichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02052592247572253641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5849270578857708223.post-34137295326627604972009-02-27T10:46:00.000-05:002009-02-27T10:46:00.000-05:00Sad to say I've not had an opportunity to read any...Sad to say I've not had an opportunity to read any of Bly's poems before now..
